How do I know if I am a long oval?

If you try on hats and they are uncomfortably tight front to back or if the hat leaves a red line across your forehead, you are a long oval.

Where do I measure my head?

Measure around your head at the spot where you are comfortable wearing a hat. This is usually just above the ears.

How long will it take to get my hat?

We are constantly working on improving our turnaround time! As of right now it takes us 6-8 weeks to get a hat out. We try our best to meet all of our customers deadlines!

What happens if the hat does not fit or if I don't like it?

If the hat does not fit, you can send it back to us and be refunded or replaced within 60 days. If a customer simply does not like their hat for any reason, we will offer a 100% refund for the first 60 days. Return shipping is generally at the buyer’s expense unless otherwise discussed.

If I wear a 7 3/8 western hat, will I wear a 7 3/8 Clearwater Hat?

Yes, our hats are standard sizes. However, because all companies have slight variations in standard sizes, measuring your head circumference is ideal.

How should I care for my hat?

Hanging your hat on a hook or storing in a hat box is the best way to preserve the integrity of the hat. Hats can be cleaned with a felt hat sponge or a soft, horse hair brush. If your hat gets wet, let it air dry indoors. Leaving the hat in a hot vehicle or trying to dry it with a hair dryer will shrink the hat.

Do you have a showroom?

While we do not have a storefront, our shop is located on our farm 6 miles South of Calico Rock, Arkansas. Visits are welcome by appointment only.

What are your hats made out of?

Our hats are made of beaver and/or wild hare fur felt. Unlike wool, true fur felt hats can be re-blocked and reshaped numerous times without compromising the integrity of the hat.
